In 2002 Sheep Laughs Records was created as an independant label to supply drama teams, churches and individuals with the best in performance soundtracks, and Christian comedy CDs for the whole family.

Cheap laughs? No way! Sheep Laughs!

Our current catalog includes two Prime Example projects; "Comedy Skits and Songs." and "Comedy Cookout." Prime Example was the Christian comedy team, of which I was part, that existed from 1993 to 2003. During that time I co-wrote the material and produced the CD projects for the team. Songs from each of these albums have played nationally on Southern Gospel stations across the country, often showing up in their Top 10.

Another CD available is of the vintage Campbell Playhouse 1939 radio broadcast of "A Christmas Carol," which you can buy here, on our tribute site to Charles Dicken's classic novel and the various radio and film adaptations of it.

Also part of the list is a two-CD set of other "A Christmas Carol" adaptations; one by the BBC, and the other from the CBS Radio Mystery Theater.

The main body of the catalog, however, is comprised of the drama soundtracks created for the scripts that you will find on the site, ChristianSkitScripts.com. Each of the CDs contains the sound effects and music that the scripts call for, produced and mixed at the Sonfish Studios facilities. Drawing upon a large library of Hollywood-quality sound effects and music, as well as original music, the soundtracks are digitally mixed, burned to CD, and duplicated using professional equipment.

In addition, I can supply churches that need effects for their own dramas, compiled from their list of desired sounds, and create special CDs for their use. The price of these special CDs varies, depending on the amount of effects needed, and the complexity of the mixing required. Call for details if you need this service.

Another service is that of production for Christian comedian recording projects. I recently had the privilege of doing the post-production on a comedy project for two-time Grammy nominated Archie Jordan, the famous singer and songwriter. He is the recipient of 7 gold and 3 platinum albums, and 15 ASCAP awards. Some of his past hits were "It Was Almost Like A Song," "What A Difference You've Made In My Life," "Jesus Is Your Ticket To Heaven," to name a few you may recognise. I also created his new site.

Country Comedian Gary Claxton, known as "The Mouth of the South," has recently signed with Sheep Laughs Records. Gary is listed in the top ten of the Christian Concert Authority's List of the The 25 Biggest Touring Christian Artists. (Gary has spent a number of weeks in the #1 position on that list!) This list encompasses all genres of Christian music through June 16, 2006. I am currently producing his audio CD projects (three so far), as well as the graphic design of the final product. Professional writer, radio personality and awesome voice-over talent Glenn Hascall has recently come on board as a client, and I have designed and manufactured his comedy sketch CD project, which you can get here.

A comedy CD called "Let's Skit Crazy! Vol. 1" is now being produced exclusively for this site. Bringing to life more of the scripts on the site for your listening enjoyment, this CD will not only be sold as an individual album, but will also be available in packs of five and ten CDs, affordably priced to be the perfect giveaway or present to your friends, family, co-workers, or whoever you want to bless and be a witness to! Everyone will listen to and enjoy these entertaining skits, and get the gospel, and scriptural encouragement and edification, at the same time! Watch for this on the site soon!

Another exciting, original and exclusive item to be offered soon is a new idea in drama tools! Called "Dramatic Sounds," this planned series of CDs will gather together sound effects and music especially for your drama productions. No more buying collections of random sound effects, looking for just those few you need; these CDs will be full of effects categories particularly useful for live church drama productions!

And not only individual effects; but entire sequences of mixed effects and music depicting common scenes in drama productions! For example, the planned "Biblical Backgrounds" volume will have sequences perfect for Easter dramas that involve scenes of ancient Bible times; "Gethsemene," "Angry Mobs," "Crucifixion," "Resurrection Morning," and many more! A section useful for Christmas plays will include effects and music tracks like "Busy Bethlehem," "Watching Their Flocks By Night," and "The Manger Miracle." Drama directors can use these audio backgrounds for their own scripts and Biblical plays. This product is scheduled for release early in 2006, with other volumes released on a regular timetable afterward.
